The book immediately launches into the murder of Jude and her sisters' parents, killed by their future father who adopts them into the Faerie world. There, Jude and her sisters face endless torment from the Faerie's who despise them, tormented merely for being a mortal. Jude soon learns that in order to survive, she need to be exactly like the Fey, cunning and deceitful.

But of course, there are obstacles along the way. The obstacles name is Prince Cardan.

As readers journey with Jude and her sisters, we learn that Jude begins to slowly lose her humanity, the one thing that we readers value. And we learn the price that Jude has to pay to be 'normal' in the Faerie world. The book and its siblings are perfect of Sarah J. Maas fans, having its own taste and style that distinguishes itself from other books, leaving readers wanting more.

Exactly why I'm buying book 2 now...
