It was okay. Not amazing and not the worst, but a little bit less than in the middle. So I’d say 2.5 stars.
To start off with, I had extremely high hopes for this book. The romance? The plot? Heard it would be amazing! But I didn’t feel the same as many people did with this book which was a very big disappointment! Not satisfied at all.
The plot twist involving Jude and her sister was very much expected and predictable.
Cardan was not a great character that I ‘fell in love with’ or any of that sort but instead he kind of annoyed me. I don’t think there was great character development in his part as I barely remember a lot of scenes with him in it.
Jude was an enjoyable protagonist. A strong young female badass character? Count me in! I related to some things that happened to her or how she felt (obviously not finding out that my sisters dad is an immortal being).
Overall it was okay, I’m hoping The Wicked King ties it in together.
