I liked it, I expected a little more romance from it, but I liked it. I loved the main character, Jude. She's strong willed and knows what she wants, and isn't afraid to fight for it.
The book follows Jude, who, as a human, struggles to fit into the faerie world. She was taken after her parents were murdered to live with her sisters father in the High Court of Faerie. Jude decides to try to get into the High Court, but her father thinks she isn't a good enough killer. This is where she meets Cardan and his friends, who torment her and her sister day after day. Cardan is one of the many princes, the worst one. He's cruel and wicked, and loves to terrorize the people because they can't fight back.
The Cruel Prince by Holly Black starts a bit slow as we get to know a little bit about the world, but after the first few chapters really takes off. I recommend.
