I love this book with a passion. Its got enemies to lovers, its got fae, its got tension and political intrigue and I LOVE IT. We meet Jude, who is an absolute queen and I really liked- possibly one of my favourite characters. Shes human, but was stolen away as a child to join faerie. She desperately wants to become a true part of the faerie world. We also meet Cardan…who is a incredibly attractive fae and happens to be a prince- and apparently Judes worse enemy. Yes. Enemies to lovers (though their mostly enemies in this book, its more in the sequels that they become lovers). I particulary loved Jude and Cardan’s love story in this book, with a special place in my heart for Cardans door (and I hated Taryn with a burning passion.) I have to say I do think the book started out quite mild but it got intense very quickly! And when it got intense, IT GOT INTENSE.
