The book is set in the fairyland called Elfhame in the 20th century. What I like about the character Jude is that the way she makes decisions which are calculated and help her raise to the power she wants since she has trouble in this world being a human.
The book was very exciting to read even from the very start of the book it captivated me from the first line making it impossible to put down and I ended up reading it in a day which for me is hard because I get bored of things very quickly. It had many twists and many characters that made me feel different ways such as Cardan a prince that bullied Jude which made me feel a dislike towards him and his classmates which took part in the bullying.
I loved the main character Jude and how she was written, coming to unfamiliar place at such a small age and how she adapted made it impossible not to like her and how smart she is when she made decisions made me feel so in powered.
The plot was good and I loved how everything was set including the beautiful description of the fantasy kingdom she is in and making it feel like the reader is there with her.
