This book is amazingly beautiful. The world building is done perfectly and you end up falling in love immediately with the main character Jude. Despite it not being a romance, it offers romance as a sub-plot so it’s perfect for all readers. Before I went into this book i was scared i would hate it due to the political aspects however, Holly Black made it easy to understand and it really felt like I was there experiencing pain, love, betrayal with Jude. Holly Black is a fantastic story writer and I couldn’t wait to delve into the wicked king and the queen of nothing.
I read this book in one sitting and once again if you are worrying due to the political focus don’t worry as the book is still easy to understand. I’d still recommend this book to a higher age of people though.
