Holly black always has great worldbuilding when it comes to the fae and included a lot of the fae myths and right from the start i was intrigued, it has been about a year since i read this book so my memory is a little hazy on some of the details, It had a good plot and great characters. i don't remember much about the atmosphere but as a human in a fae world it was an interesting perspective. It was very dark and had good political intrigue. In terms of writing style i had no issues following along nothing pulled me out of the book.
In terms of enjoyment remember reading this book in one day and immediately purchasing the next book in a frenzy then I realised I would have to wait half a year for the third book I would read it again or recommend it to a friend, I don't remember much about the side characters but my favourite characters were Cardan and Jude
