Holly Black is the Queen of Faerie and this is totally undeniable in her latest installment of a new series. The Cruel Prince is so engaging, great and a fast paced story line. Also the one thing I loved about this book is not what I expected from a fantasy book. In most Fey/Fae stories I read, there is a clear line between good and evil. You don't get that with this book. You get all the intriguing and interesting grey areas that is in between. I love the main character Jude because she is very relatable but then unlikable at the same time. She is raw, funny, sad! She is also very human! She makes you want to fight with her and hug her at the same time. I also like that, although the book is called The Cruel Prince, there could be more than one cruel person/prince/fey. In short, I cannot wait for the next installment!!
