‘The cruel prince’ was one of the best enemies to lovers romance books I have ever read. And when I say enemies to loves I mean ENEMIES to loves, they hated each other some much I was honestly extremely confused as to how they could ever move past it - Holly black took this troop really seriously and I’m not complaining!
The main characters were well written and actually had interests and room for growth because of this I was able to better understand their and motivations.
In retrospect the secondary characters were far from few - there were many of them - had I not read the book in a short window of time I think I would have found great difficulty in trying to remember who was who!
That being said I would have preferred to have seen more political intrigues especially considering it being a fantasy series. The world building just wasn’t fully there which is why my rating lacks the one star.
