The Cruel Prince by Holly Black still has me in two minds. I always feel the start of a book should grip you in tightly but I felt with The Cruel Prince it just went super slow. I was almost close to DNF which is very rare for me.
On the other hand the second part just flew in. I loved Vivi so much and if I do end up getting The Wicked King I really hope we see more of her.
I think I would have liked Holly to go into the world they live in a bit more along with the fae creatures/dynamics between the courts. Is that just me being picky or am I ACOTAR fan at heart? I also think all the hype surrounding this book made me go into it thinking it was amazing.
