The Cruel Prince is the amazing first book in the ‘Folk of the Air’ series, aka one of my all time favourite series.
For some reason I put off reading this for a while, mostly I think because I was scared it wouldn’t live up to the hype! But I really shouldn’t have been worried!
This book is incredible! The characters are all either lovable or ones you love to hate. Jude is the perfect main character, fully fleshed out with flaws and issues. But she is also someone that you totally want to root for!
Prince Cardan is written perfectly, at times you feel as frustrated at him as Jude does, and you also fell like you are crushing on him at the same time too!
This series is absolutely perfect for any one that loves books with magic, fairies and strong women!!
