This book was an enjoyable read, but it just didn't entertain me as much as I thought it would. The characters were very interesting and their character development was written amazingly, but the pace slightly let it down. I did enjoy the descriptions and how much thought and research went into it, you could vividly imagine it and the descriptions were so beautifully written. The illustrations all around the page numbers and chapters were stunning as well, it really added to the magic Holly Black was telling us about. As much as I like it, I dont really have any intention to pick up the sequels, I do think the ending was quick paced but very exciting, and I might just have to pick up "The Wicked King" just because I need to know what happens next!
