I have to admit that this re-reading I have enjoyed the book more than the first time I read it. I guess because the first time I read it, I had high expectations and it ended up being a bit disappointing. Even so when I got past the middle of the book I really enjoyed it with all the twists and turns of the plot. Also, I had a hard time adjusting to the author's way of writing and I didn't like the world she had created because it seemed quite ... common or typical.
But this time by reading it, since I already knew what to expect from the book, I have been able to enjoy it from the first moment. I have managed to focus more on certain details of the world, of the characters. And this has made me like the novel more than the first time I read it. Also, luckily or unfortunately, I did not remember more than a few details, so it was like re-discovering history. Why reread it if the first time it disappointed me? Well, even if I was disappointed, I have to admit it left me wanting to read the second book. And this Christmas they gave me their second part. So I thought the most sensible thing was to do a re-reading to go fresh to the next one. And the truth is that it has been great for me. In conclusion is the start of a great saga.
