I was hooked from the prologue! I love the fantasy and magic genre, being able to find myself getting sucked into a whole other world and escape reality is amazing. I'm a big fan of folk lore and faerie stories, and this book is exactly that, it does not disappoint. It's filled with vivid imagery from start to finish, i found myself captivated by the writing on the page.
I quite literally couldn't put the book down. So many twists and turns, very dramatic and overall beautiful. Thrilling yet romantic tale of headstrong Jude and the cruel Prince Cardan. One of the most beautiful things about this book is that none of the characters are perfect. Both Jude and Cardan do bad things, and neither of them are ever excused of their crimes but they learn to deal with them and other consequences of their actions.
I 100% recommend this book and can't wait to read the other two in the series.
