I have read moxed reviews on The Cruel Prince, but upon reading it for myself I discovered that I really liked it.
I adore fairies and the world of the fey so this book was definitely right up my alley, but it wasn’t like any other book I have read based around the fey.
From the start you know it’s going to be dark (I think that may be Holly Blacks thing) and it certainly didn’t disappoint in that.
The characters were intriguing I particularly adored Jude, the way she was so strong and never gave way to the ridicule and torment of her classmates was just so wonderful.
Cardan is such a complicated character, a bad boy unlike any I’ve “met” before, he only gets more complicated as the story goes on, but damn do I love him...
