The writing style of this book is really easy to follow, especially for new readers. I loved the plot of this book, it has a light enemies to lovers romance and mainly focuses on the political side. The world building is brilliant, I got stuck in as soon as i started this book. It completely hooks you in, willing you to read more.
I would 100% read this book again as its a very light and fun read. The characters, storyline and especially Cardan and Jude’s tension throughout the book made it much more exciting to read. I would definitely recommend this book to people who are interested in the fantasy genre and also like the enemies to lovers trope. The rest of the series is also worth to read as the story gets better as the books go on. I know this book has gained much popularity which means that it’s really worth the read. Plus the book is written by Holly Black who is an outstanding author.
