Okay I first read this book last year & I was not impressed at all, I did not like any of the characters & I only enjoyed the last 50 or so pages of the book.
However since joining booktok earlier this year I decided to reread the book as it was getting so much hype that I did not understand how it did. The second time around I did enjoy the book far more but not enough for a higher score than 3/5 stars.
I know that it is called cruel prince & cardan is supposed to be a little bit problematic & bullyish but still I did not enjoy him as a character, with Jude she was a good protagonist but not someone who I loved or truly cared about. The worldbuilding was okay if a little simple, I hope that in later books more areas & depth can be added to it.
