OMG! I was warned of betrayal and yet i still didn't expect it!
This book brought me back to my fantasy era and i'm so thankful for it! Holly Black does a great job of striking plot twists when you least expect it which is what i love to see in a fantasy book! The build up of the plot and the way the book ended on a cliffhanger was so fun as it had me on my feet the whole time. I cant wait to read the next book and see how the plot plays out.
Although there is a subplot of romance, this book is primarily focused on the main character, Jude Duarte, and her journey as a mortal in a land full of magic. (A lot of politics to understand) Jude is a mortal who is taken away to the land Faerie and has to adapt to all the changes and the people there which we see from her point of view.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves fantasy or is looking for a great book to get into fantasy!
