I’m sure for some people this book may be a fantastic book that is truly thrilling from start to end, however, unfortunately I’m not one of those people.
I’m not a big fan of fantasy anyway, but I found this book to me a little forgettable and very slow paced.
I feel that the novel itself was well written, however the storyline and the plot, I feel, weren’t up to the same standard.
I would still read some more of Holly Black’s novels, just because I do feel her writing style is a good one, just not this particular story.
I, unfortunately, found that within a few days of reading this book, I’d forgotten close to everything that happened in it and within a couple weeks, I didn’t even remember the character names.
Disappointing.
