I think that it is totally worth the hype it got surrounding it.... Though I do understand why some people didn't like this book.
There were just so many things about this book that I enjoyed, from the beginning to the end. The story had me pulled in and intrigued by only the first few pages... It was fast-paced and kept me on my toes, wanting more throughout the whole book! Along with the fantastic plot, I loved the characters, especially Jude and Cardan. I really enjoyed the fact that Jude wasn't some all mighty powerful fae or something in this series, but just a human. I was also so glad that this book didn't have that "Chosen One" trope in it. One of my favorite things about this book was the ending. It was a huge plot twist that had me stunned and SUPER excited to read "Wicked King." Overall, I enjoyed this book and recommended it to anybody who loves a fast-paced, fantasy book!
