I unabashedly loved this.
From the title and synopsis I honestly was expecting a teenage aimed love story. Not this intricate storytelling weaved with political plots, familial drama and love in all range, shapes and sizes.
I loved Jude, especially the fact that she wasn’t made to me a moral angel - but the fact she was flawed and pushed to her limits, I love her.
Cardan is someone I am very intrigued by - I want to see how he develops with many personal obstacles and past traumas to contend with.
Jude’s I thought I would hate - but I don’t. I can understand all their motives and reasons and though I’m not the biggest fan of Taryn and Madoc - they were so utterly believable it made me love this book even more.
I’m so glad the sequel is out now so I don’t have to wait long for the next instalment!
OVERALL THAT WAS FREAKING BRILLIANT. I loved the cruel and scary faeries here, the magical fae setting, the endless political intrigue. It was slow to start at first but it gets SOOOOO GOOD.
