I heard so many good things about this so was very excited to start it, I enjoyed reading it and can't wait to continue with the series!
Jude is one of my favourite female characters, I think she's complex and so brilliant. She's such a strong character, not just physically but emotionally too! I also love Vivi, she's definitely cool and rebellious but also so loyal to her siblings. I really hope to see more of her in the next books.
Taryn on the other hand I was not fond of and I really didn't agree with the thing she does. I kinda get where she's coming from but I just couldn't do what she did.
Prince Carden is interesting and I'm excited to see more layers of him, I think there's definitely more to him. I love the whole hate to love trope so I hope that develops more in the next one!
Also I love the Court of Shadows and can't wait to see more of them!!
I loved the setting of the book too, the writing was descriptive and really transported me to Faerieland.
The whole pacing of the book could have been a little faster for me. The writing was great and overall I enjoyed reading it
