Wow, what a story.

This book has been in my wish list for a while, I wasn't sure whether to buy it or not but having read a first look, I'll definitely be adding it to my basket!

It's an original idea, a child of the mortal world forced to grow up in the land of fairie. What I enjoyed is the fact that these are not fluttering, friendly, childlike fairies. These are the fairies of legend: cruel, manipulative and selfish. Tinker Bell wouldn't find a welcome here!

The world building here is immense and done very swiftly. The author let's us know exactly where the characters are and what they're faced by but she doesn't waffle on for pages about unimportant details.

So far I like Jude and I admire her desire to prove herself better than her peers, who scorn her so nastily.

Can't wait to read more!
