The best enemies to lovers out there. Honestly, none of this fluff and 'oh I am not sure I like him'. It is a real and raw enemy to lovers. Cardan and Jude start off with pure hatred for each other, and that is very well shown by the author throughout the book.

Not only do you feel invested in the stories of the main characters, but the side characters also have interesting and worthwhile personalities and stories.

There is politics and scheming, and the premise is incredibly refreshing. It is a mix of fantasy, romance and political intrigue. The world building is incredibly, and I can tell the series is a huge hit.

My favourite parts were the last third, the end really picked up and there was lots of action.

There are plot twists which are so incredible and I loved, but the romance between the protagonists is quite toxic but still good to read.
