I saw this book recommended all over TikTok so I knew I needed to read it! BookTok has come through once again because this book was amazing, Holly Black is truly a very talented author!! I could almost taste the faerie fruit, it was so exquisitely written! Jude’s parents were killed when she was seven while her two sisters were stolen away to live in the Court of the Faery and years later all she wants is to belong there too despite her being a mortal. To earn a place at the Court she must defy the beautiful but wicked Prince Cardan and face the consequences of these actions. Jude becomes involved in the deception of the Court and learns more about her own morals in terms of deception and bloodshed. She must test her limits to save her sisters and Faerie itself. This book left me speechless and it’s ending was stunning and shocking that I was left thinking about it for so long after I finished. I highly recommend!!
