So I was extremely disappointed by the modern Carrie takes by Billy black even though I was soooo sure I was going to love it... After struggling through tithe and DNFing Valiant I have up on the author Holly Black... Eventually after many a discussion and after sooo many people insisted I read the cruel Prince I went ahead, completely expecting to absolutely hate this book, I opened the book I read the first sentence and then I was gone... I fell into this book and this series and I was never the same again. I loved our main character Jude she is by the far the most unique character I have read to date... Jude Duarte was an amazing strong morally grey female protagonist that honestly I can't get enough of. This story was soooo fast paced the writing so beautiful the plot so gripping the characters so entrancing and the world so unique I flew through this series immediately reading the wicked kind the queen of nothing and the short story from trains point of view. This story was whimsical and inspiring and I have yet to find anything that competed with this beautiful ugly tale of what being human really is about.
