When I first heard of this book, I was getting a lot of mixed reactions. Most either hated or loved it. It took me a while to pick it up, due to this, but when I did, it did not disappoint. While it was slightly confusing at first, it was a nice breath of fresh air. Due to most of the books with faeries in them describe them as what is basically perfect humans with pointed ears and longer lives. Not much in variety. However, this book? No two characters were the same. Even the twin sisters have distinct personalities that make them easier to read about.

The world this book takes place in is much heavier based on Irish and Scottish folklore, having several species of Faerie, and honest in the treatment of humans. While I loved the interactions between the main characters, I must admit that the plot twists were either extremely obvious to the reader, and other times they sneak up on them completely.
