I have not read a lot of fantasy. But I have now read "The Cruel Prince" and all I can say is that the second I read the final line of the book, I immediately put in an order for the sequel.
Not only has Holly created a compelling and amiable story, but also a strong and powerful female character whom I could not help but fall in love with. Jude Duarte has officially reached my list of favourite fictional characters, and I am sure that she will not disappoint me further into the series!
Furthermore, the fact that this book is also so heavily surrounded by politics and war tactics further attracts me to it.
