I’ve never read any of Holly Black’s books before but I certainly am going to now. I absolutely loved this book from start to finish, was unable to put it down and finished it within a couple of days. I love a flawed hero/heroine, as it makes the characters more realistic and relatable and I feel that Jude definitely is. I love that she is so strategic and although, the less powerful one just by being human she does not let that stop her. (Go the underdog) By the end, I love Cardan and actually feel really empathetic towards him. I can’t wait to see where the next book goes and I already can’t wait for it to be published. Nothing like a cliffhanger to get your imagination flowing. Especially not in the land of faerie. Holly Black you did a fantastic job, take a bow!
