This book is an amazing start to the series! The style of writing is so elegant and powerful and the story is just so wonderful as well. The characters really stand out to me and the style of writing and the way they were shown made me feel like I knew them and that I was actually a part of their world.
The plot is very good as well, it follows Jude who is one of the more prominent characters as she navigates the faerie world she grew up in after tragic events happened in the mortal world. Taryn is also a prominent character although I didn’t like her as much as Jude because she didn’t really speak to me as much as Jude did, and to me, she felt weaker and less powerful than Jude did. Cardan is another prominent character and I liked him a lot because he grew throughout the book although initially when he was first introduced I didn’t like him at all because of the way he behaved.
