Already, the introduction has grabbed my attention. Fantasy, adventure, and political drama are all elements I enjoy in a novel.
If I were you and I saw this in a library or bookstore, I would certainly pick it up.
This is the first and most definitely not the last time I read a Holly Black novel. I was completely immersed in the world she has built from the first page and couldn't put it down (even at my desk when I was supposed to be working). It was also read twice by me. This will certainly not be a fun Disney fairy tale, but rather a grim, twisted tale that bears more similarities to the dark original fairy tales.
I would definitely recommend and I would totally buy the entire series! Holly Black books are incredible!
