Usually when there’s a book about detectives, it’s a male detective with a female partner. I knew I’d want to read this book as soon as I learned the protagonist was a female detective.
I like how the cover is both light and dark, telling us straight away the theme of the book. With the door being open, it’s almost inviting us into the crime scene by reading the book.
