The writing style of this excerpt is pretty bog standard however the story itself seems familiarly interesting. Maybe it’s because I love a good crime novel and I’ve simply read so many that the entire genre exhibits a sense of comfort. But that’s really besides the point I want to know what happens. I want to see what happened. And realistically that’s all a crime novel has to do.
