I'm unsure about this one. The cover is certainly nothing new - seems like every thriller has this styling lately, and as the latest in a detective series I find these rarely work as stand-alone reads, and I'm not sure how many previous books there have been about this character but the number of cliches seems to rise with every book in this sort of thing.
