A good read
My apologies that this review is so long in coming! The Cutting Place is the ninth book in the Maeve Kerrigan series by Jane Casey. I hadn't quite twigged that this was a series when I won the book but once I realised I thought I would give it a go as often these can be read as stand along books and the prior knowledge of the characters is not a pre-requisite to enjoyment of the storyline. There are a lot of twists and turns as the story unfolds which is only to be expected for a crime thriller. I found this to be easy to get into and it kept my attention well. There are some sensitive issues addressed in the story but again I think that is to be expected and hopefully won't put too many readers off. I would like to go back and read the other books in this series, it didn't spoil my enjoyment not having read them but I think I would enjoy other books by Jane Casey.
