After reading the preview chapters I was very keen to read the rest of the book. It certainly lived up to expectations. It starts with body parts being found and finally identified as Paige Hargreaves a young freelance reporter. Maeve Kerrigan is the DS investigating the case. However murder is not the only theme of the book. It looks at the world of wealth and privilege when Maeve investigates a gentlemen's club. Relationships of different kinds are explored including abusive ones and those between friends. I found this a gripping story with several twists to keep the reader interested. Having learnt this is the latest in a series I will certainly be looking to read the previous books as soon as possible.
