This is the second book that I read by Jane Casey and altough it is the ninth book in the Maeve Kerrigan series, it can be read as a standalone.

I really liked the previous one in the series and the same happened with this one.

I love thriller and mystery books in general, but I have a soft spot for those that are from the point of view of the detective. My favourite series of all time is The Women´s Murder Club by James Patterson and they all remind me in a way to that series and bring me good memories.

In this case, Maeve Kerrigan is trying to find out what happened to Paige, a journalist that appears dead.

The whole investigation, all the secrets that come out in the process, the struggles Maeve went through while trying to find out the truth, the lies she encounters... It all was amazing! I had such a good time reading it and I enjoyed it!

I don´t want to say too much because, like I said, it´s the ninth book in the series and I don´t want to spoil anyone, but it was a good detective thriller and I will probably read the next ones to come!
