The Cutting Place is a real page turner, it’s fast paced so you find yourself reading just one more chapter. This is a thriller which all starts with a body or part of a body being discovered in the Thames and when you start to think you have solved it another piece of evidence takes you down a completely different path. We then also have the privileged world of a Men’s club and how this maybe involved and how much they are willing to keep quiet the events that happen at their parties. I didn’t guess the ending at all so it was a brilliant surprise and I loved the turn it takes right at the end.
Aswell as it being about a murder you also learn about the detectives lives and in particular it takes a very dark turn for one of them, and we go on a journey with her.
Spoiler alert....The only disappointment I had was I wanted the two main characters to get together.
