I loved this book. I was initially disappointed that, because of Covid-19, I was sent an e-book rather than a proper book, as I normally never get round to finishing e-books for some reason, but this one I just could not put down.

The twists and turns made it addictive without being so confusing that you lost the plot.

It is always difficult with a genre that is overdone to provide unique characters but the author has made them interesting, particularly the relationship between Maeve and Josh. There is enough not said that leaves you thinking and wondering about what will happen next.

There is also a strong message in the book regarding female abuse, which comes across as something the author feels very strongly about and, being married to a criminal barrister, presumably knows more about than most.
