This book grips the reader from the start. The author gives detailed descriptions of the scenery and characters, without giving too much away, it adds an atmospheric feel that the reader can visualise easily. the idea of fog on the banks of the river but above London is busy and bustling. The body in pieces adds to the drama and suspense, and the characters are all flawed but interesting for the reader.
A well written story that keeps the flow of the crime solving at a fantastic pace for the reader to follow and solve along with the characters. Flashbacks add twists to the plot, and the author is not afraid to put difficult things in the book which some readers may find uncomfortable such as the crime of the baby.
An excellent read and one I heartily recommend
