A body is found inthe Thames and Maeve Kerrigan and Josh Derwent have been called in to investigate.
The body is that of a local investigate journalist called Paige Hargreaves.
She was working on a scoop about gentlemen's clubs and in particular the Chiron club.
It has a bad reputation for seedy goings on and Maeve is suspicious and decides to work undercover to follow the story herself.
Determined to find the clues she needs to solve the case she unwittingly puts herself in grave danger.
This was a brilliant detective novel, part of a larger series but I don't think that at all impacted or spoilt the story and this can easily be read out of reading order as its a separate case.
