i actually can’t get over how much i adored this book! i started the first few chapters and was actually kind of unsure if i wanted to carry on with this, but i am so so glad i did! it didn’t even occur to be that this is book of a series! it’s so so beautifully written as a stand alone novel!
the actual murder case i found baffling and i didn’t envy Meave and her team trying to solve it...the addition if the chiron club i was so obsessed with, the idea of an elite men’s club in london that are able to pull these strings and go so far to cover their tracks really drew me in! in fact my mum had to pray the book out of my hands so i could eat dinner because i didn’t want to put the book down, i wanted to know what was coming next so so badly!
the relationship that the team have with each other i loved, the easy friendship between Maeve and Josh was refreshing to see, and how the rest of the team connected with each other was funny and heartwarming especially given what’s going on in Maeves personal life
