I was hooked from the very first page.
The story follows a journalist that is investigatng an all males club ( the Chiron Club) which has very loyal members due to blackmail and it was brilliantly written.
I love books like this and, as oddly as it sounds, I loved the part where they discovered the hand in the river.
I have not read any of her books previously but I loved this first look at the book and would love to not only read the full book, but a whole series following Meave and her story. ( I have since found that there is a series and I am obsessed)
I thinks that in and of itself, the book is also a great stand alone, but it creates a fantastic series.
If you love crime, thrillers and really knowing the character, this book would be perfect for you.
