I really enjoyed reading The Cutting Place. I found the story and plot very gripping and interesting right up until the end of the book. The characters were well written and interesting with lots of personal details.
Even though this book is part of a series, it wasn't confusing to read without having read any of the previous books in Jane Casey's series. The book could also work as a stand alone story if you are unfamiliar with Jane Casey's previous work.
I couldn't put the book down. I didn't find the dual storylines confusing, which can sometimes be the case.
If you love crime mysteries this is definitely a book for you to read.
