This book is book number of the Maeve Kerrigan series. This the second book from the series that I have read, having previously read book number 8 and I am only sorry to have not found this series sooner.
To put it simply, I will just need to go and buy them all now. I was kept guessing right to the end of this book, and really enjoyed the storyline. I love Maeve as a character, and love her friendship with her colleague Josh Derwent. My heart was in my mouth during some scenes of this book.

This book is book number nine in the Maeve Kerrigan series but it is the first one that I have read after accidentally ordering it. The cutting place was a book that I really enjoyed reading although it is part of a series it read well as a stand alone book. I really enjoyed this book so much so that I am desperate to get the rest of the series so I can read them all in order and learn more about Maeve Kerrigan and about her back story. During the story there were alot of twists and turns which I did not expect each time as the story unfolded which is something that I loved about the cutting place.

I really loved Maeve Kerrigan as a character, and love her friendship with her colleague Josh Derwent. I am desperate to read the rest of the series to find out more about the pair of them.

Another thing that I really like was the cover of the book. Although I didn't intend too order the book originally I am really glad I did as when I saw the cover I immediately thought it was the type of book I would usually pick up if I was in a shop. All in all I will definitely be reading more of Jane Caseys work.
