I really loved this book! I was instantly drawn in by the first look but sadly didn't win the draw, so as soon as this was published I downloaded a copy and read it in a day! I honestly couldn't put this book down.
I loved the chemistry between the characters, the duel storylines that eventually linked, the personal struggles of Maeve, and the constant guessing at who was guilty. I did worry that a plotline based around privileged white men would be irritating but it actually worked, and not once did I find the story slow or confusing, it's very well written and captivating. I'm also a little bit in love with Josh Derwent <3
This is my first Maeve Kerrigan novel and I think I'll be downloading them all to ease the struggles of lockdown!
