"There were a few minutes when I was alone with her in the autopsy room. Before I could stop myself, I was leaning close to her, telling her everything. The words draining out of me as she lay there. She was still so beautiful, even in death. Our secrets circled madly around the bright white room. I knew how comprehensively her death could undo me..."

Oh my God, this book is a fully fledged 5 star book, it had me hooked since the day I picked it up and I never wanted to put it down! This book is about a young teacher who had been found murdered in a lake and covered with red roses that I would never normally read but I am so glad that I did.

This book is set in Australia, in a small town called Smithson, but I would never have known if it wasn't stated in the book. the fact that it is set in Australia and I started the book not knowing, some of the vocabulary had me confused at first, but once I got into it, I hardly noticed it being set in Australia.

This book is a debut novel by Sarah Bailey and congratulations to her, as it is actually so amazing and I have never read anything like this before, I cannot wait to read more of her work in the future if it is going to be anything more like this.

I really cannot believe that this is a debut novel, the way it is written and the fact that it is so fast paced could have made me believe that this book could have been written by an author who has several other published works, props to Sarah Bailey!

As I have previously stated, I never usually read books of this particular genre but the fact that I really enjoyed it may have persuaded me to pick up more books like this in the future. I usually watch detective thrillers but reading one has opened a new door for me and I can most definitely say that I may now enjoy psychological thrillers
