Brilliant police based murder mystery
This book is written following Detective Gemma Woodstock. Not painted in the best light in her personal life and decisions she makes - however as far as her work ethics go, she is meticulous and fully immersed in her job.
For one reason or another Gemma is at a crossroads, she needs to decide what is for the best. So much was held on this single decision but once made, there would be no going back.
Sarah Bailey has written this debut novel brilliantly, I couldn’t put it down. There were sections that slightly dragged but as a whole the book flowed brilliantly.
A lot happens within the novel and you are left guessing what would happen next...
It was nice to follow the crimes from the police angle for a change rather than killer/victim.
