Difficult review to write this one as I’ve mixed opinions on this book. I really struggled to engage with the main character Gemma in this story which I don’t think helped as I never really empathised or rooted for her. I liked the link between the past and present within the story, and the cyclical nature of the story: it definitely led you to wanting to know more but was very mopey and self involved. I did not expect the killer to be who it was and I liked how I had not figured it and was no where near guessing it would be that person either but that was really the only excitement I got from the story.
