The first look of this book had me quite intrigued and there seemed to be lots of potential to the plot.
Unfortunately I found the writing style to be lacking pace and at times very frustrating.
Information about the main character, Gemma Woodstock, was drip fed to the reader in such a way that it was confusing ,who she was currently with and what her connection was to the various others that kept popping up from her past. This distracted me from the main story of the murder investigation which seemed to take too long to get going.
I did stick with it to the end and the pace did pick up in the last fifty pages or so but I'm not sure I would have persevered with it had I not been submitting a review.
